Getting started with QuestPay
Create an account, verify it once, and keep your details current so your next transfer is never held up.
Creating an account takes about two minutes, and you only need three things to do it: an email address, a password, and a confirmation of that password. That is deliberately all we ask for up front - we would rather you were sending money in two minutes than filling in a form.
Creating your account
- 1Select Create account and enter your email address, a password of your choosing, and the same password again in the confirmation box.
- 2Confirm your email address using the link we send you. Until you do this, you can set up an account but not send a transfer.
- 3Sign in. We ask for your first name, last name and mobile number next, because a payment provider cannot release funds without them and it is quicker to collect them after you can already see a quote.
Why we ask in stages
Regulators require us to know who sent the money before we release it. Splitting the questions up means you see a real quote and a real fee in your first session, instead of a registration wall before you have found out what a transfer costs.
Completing your profile
First name, last name and mobile number can be added at any time from Profile inside your account. Add them before your first transfer - we cannot send one without them.
We will need these from you
- First name and last name, exactly as they appear on your identity document.
- A mobile number we can send a one-time code to. This is also the number we use to tell you a transfer has reached the payout stage.
- A date of birth, collected when we verify your identity.
Updating your account details
Sign in and open Profile. You can change your name, mobile number and email address yourself at any time. Some changes trigger a short re-verification, because a new email address or phone number is one of the signals our fraud monitoring looks for when an account is changed and then used to send money.
To change your account details
- Sign in and select Profile.
- Edit the field you need to change.
- Confirm with your account password. For a new email address we also send a confirmation link to that address before the change takes effect.
We will never ask you to confirm details over a phone call
If anyone contacts you claiming to be from QuestPay and asks for your password, a one-time code, or the full card number on your saved payment method, it is fraud. See Fraud Prevention for what real messages from us look like.
Next steps
Once your details are in, send a transfer. Most people do it in three moves - choose a recipient, accept your quote, and pay.
